Dear Tangueras and Tangueros of Ithaca and beyond,
You are cordially invited to the intensive and fun weekend of tango learning and dancing in Ithaca NY
on April 14-19
Our guest teachers GASTON O. PEREYRA and LAURA O. FERREYRA from Buenos Aires, Argentina will come to Ithaca for the first time to provide group and private instruction, give free advice at guided practica, and perform at milonga Luz de Luna (check the latter on FB at https://www.facebook.com/events/1720750651536853/)
GASTON is a professional dancer and experienced teacher of tango, who began dancing when he was ten. His studies include Argentine folk dance and ballet, as well as training in the biomechanics technique that promotes awareness of body structure and function as foundation for natural, efficient, and graceful movement. In the last decade he performed in a number of professional dance companies at various venues in Buenos Aires, including Teatro Colon, and toured in Europe and South America as part of tango shows. Gaston also has been a part of the scene in the popular milongas in Buenos Aires, and this is his second visit to the US.
