Please join us for TUESDAY TANGO (7 to 8:30 pm) at Webster's in downtown State College for a special program. This special program highlights two gifted vocalists of the early 20th Century. Mercedes Simone (4/21/1904 to 10/2/1990) was an actress, singer, and composer. She was given the nickname La Dama del Tango. Her early fame was enormous, paving the way for other women tango singers. Nina Miranda (11/8/1925 to 1/1/2012) was an Uruguayan singer and composer who achieved fame and popularity in the 1950s with hit songs like Maula,, Garufa, and Fumando Espero.
As usual, the show will include musical delights, gems, and surprises. Please come w ith your dancing shoes, an open mind and heart, and dance to the lovely music. You will not be disappointed!
