Stork Flaps its Wings
Facing in the same direction that you started the form in, following "Raise hands and step up...":
Now, using your waist by turning it to the right, this turns your hands over and then you pull sideways as you weight from the back stance. When you finish pulling, your core should be facing east, yet your hips are still in a northerly direction. Now make a step with your right side as you bring your weight back across the centerline; bring your left palm to protect your face leading with your shoulder in a linear direction. This is a shoulder stroke.
Continue the move by making a scissors like motion so that your weight remains on the right side, and so that your right hand is in front of your body and your left hand is down by your left hip. (This is 'ward off').
You are now going to orient yourself east again. To do this, you are going to back off your right side, lift your right heel and turn it at 45% to the Northeast (pivot). As you bring your waist into the move in a sinking counter-clockwise circle, your left arm will follow along and your right hand will end up in front of your eyes. Your left hand will be at the left hip as is often the case. Your weight and posture is substantial on the right side in a back stance facing east. The ball of your left foot acts as a counterbalance as you finish the move.
