Parts of Speech

You are familiar with such parts of speech as nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs.

A noun names somebody or something - a man, a dog, an ostrich, a pen.

A pronoun is a word that we can use instead of (במקום) a noun - I, he, she, it, we, you, they.

An adjective describes (מתאר) somebody or something - big, interesting, yellow.

A verb says what we do - play, read, have.
