Adjectives – שמות תואר
שם תואר היא מילה שמתארת משהו או מישהו.
שמות תואר מתארים תכונות של שמות עצם.
It’s a round table. (צורה)
It’s a small car. (גודל)
It’s a green apple. (צבע)
She is a clever girl. (תכונת אופי)
באנגלית אפשר לשים שם תואר בשני מקומות:
1. לפני שם העצם אותו הוא מתאר:
a new bicycle, cold water
2. אחרי הפועל to be:
am, is, are, was, were, will be
The book is interesting.
We are tired.
I am good at English.
The movie was scary.
The champions were excited.
It will be windy tomorrow.
שימו לב! באנגלית שם תואר אינו משתנה בזכר או בנקבה, ביחיד או ברבים.

צורות השוואה עם שמות תואר
כאשר משווים בין שני שמות עצם עם תכונות זהות, משתמשים ב-as…as ושם תואר:
My bag is as big as yours.
התיק שלי גדול באותה מידה כמו שלך.
This apple is not as sweet as that one.
התפוח הזה לא מתוק באותה מידה כמו ההוא.
