These steps are the shortest way to get you editing your code in the Eclipse IDE.
Getting the most out of SVEditor/DVKit
If you are comfortable basic editing in Eclipse, and want to get more out of the tool the following steps can be followed to guide you through some of the features of using an IDE.
- Step 1: Get a better understanding of SVEditor Project Properties and configuration by following the remaining steps (Steps 2 and beyond) of the Setting up a Project page
- Step 2: Work through the SVEditor Tutorial which will introduce you to tool features.
- The tutorial is targeted at HDL designers new to Eclipse
- The tutorial covers many of the features commonly used by Vi and EMACS users
