In this webinar, Mohammad will talk about current Earth-based microgravity platforms and how gliders can be used to provide altered gravity conditions. He will also characterize the duration, quality, and repeatability of parabolas provided by gliders. In addition, Mohammad will describe the on-board experimental rack developed by LIDE and give some examples of experiments that can be performed on this platform. Finally, he will also talk about the current partnership between LIDE and SELGRA to offer students the opportunity to perform experiments in microgravity (more details here).

Short Biography

Mohammad has in depth knowledge of Space Systems and has led the technical work of a range of projects for ESA involving space hardware at all stages of the project lifecycle. He completed his technical education at UCLouvain and ISAE-SUPAERO with a certificate in Management of Innovation from HEC Paris. Mohammad is currently the co-founder and CTO of LIDE Space. He is also National Point of Contact for the Space Generation Advisory Council in Belgium.
