Opportunities

Attending and presenting at conferences is one of the most important aspects of research, giving the opportunity to communicate your research, create new networks, and make new friends. At no time is this more important than in the beginning of your career.

As part of ELGRA’s commitment to supporting the scientific research and early career researchers, we are pleased to announce our Spring 2022 call for the SELGRA conference grants. This call is a special one – it will be exclusively dedicated for students applying 27th Biennial European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA) Symposium in Lisbon (Portugal) on September 06th-09th of 2022.

Our grants are designed to support early career researchers working within gravity related research, in attending and presenting conferences. While this call is particullary dedicated for an ELGRA symposium, we regularly have cross-sectional calls for all types of conferences.

Each grant will cover registration fees, travel and accommodation cost up to €700 (the final high of the conference grant will be announced in July depending on the number of the selected students).

Only students that submitted an abstract to ELGRA and were selected to present their work to the ELGRA Symposium (oral or poster presentation) will qualify for funding. Applications will be open until 4th July 2022 (23:59 CEST).
