James and Catherine McMurtrie

In Loving Memory of Catherine, the beloved wife of James McMurtrie, who died May 9 1902, aged 68 years. Her end was peace. Also of James McMurtrie, died 8 July 1923, aged 87 year. At Rest.

Historical information

The McMurtries came from Inoa, Argyllshire in Scotland. Two memorial services were held for her at St Ninians church. (Death notice, Auckland Star, 10 May 1902, p. 8)
