Letter to the Members
Dear Members,
After many years, three of our devoted members have decided to retire from managing
our Monday Night Beano. Ray Vachon, who has been t he main force along with
Mike Pendergrass (pull-tabs) and Roland Petrin will be done at the end of May.
Needless to say, they will all be missed.
HELP! HELP! is needed. We are looking for someone to step forward. Many
of our present Board Members already volunteer on Monday. We should not
expect them to carry the full burden of managing the Association. We are also
looking for at least four people to be on the Board of Directors for the coming
fiscal year.
IF BEANO CLOSES, PULL-TABS CLOSES. Without these two sources
of income, we will have to STOP SPONSORING ALL YOUTH TEAMS
plus the many donations we support.
Now is the time for you to STEP UP. This is YOUR ALUMNI. You can
contact any present Board Members if you wish to help this coming year.
Thank You,
Roger Tremblay,
Chairman

14th Annual Golf Tournament
The 14th Annual Golf Tournament is not far off. Saturday, June 16th at the
Dutch Elm Golf Course, Arundel , Maine. Each year 180 players gather to
play golf and have fun for a good cause. The cause, of course, is the St. Louis
Alumni Association and the Brother Richard Hebert Memorial Scholarship
Funds, which provide annual scholarships for graduating seniors from local area
high schools. The cost of the Tournament is $30.00 for Dutch Elm members,
and $60.00 for nonmembers. This includes green fees, prizes, coffee & donuts
(prior to start) and meal & beverages (in the Dutch Elm clubhouse). Applications
are available at Dutch Elm and Doc's Tavern, and must be received by the June 10
deadline.

Annual Meeting of the St. Louis Alumni Association -June 16, 2007
This year's Annual Meeting is an important one. Elections will be held to fill a
number of positions on the Board of Directors. Members must step up to ensure
continued Alumni support of local area youth organizations.
In addition to choosing new officers, we will hear all the financial reports including
moneys raised and donations made. Each year the Alumni contributes to support
groups such as the St. James Athletic program, area Little League teams, Girls'
softball teams, American Legion baseball and other area school events as well
as a number of scholarships.
The Annual Meeting is also a good time to see longtime friends and to socialize.
If you have never been to an Alumni meeting or even to our Hall, or if it's been
a while, this is a good time to come back. Mark your calendar and please come.
The meeting starts at 7:00.
