Services
At St. Bartholomew’s we engage in a traditional Anglican form of worship, using Common Worship for Eucharists and Daily Prayer. Our Sunday 10am Sung Eucharist is our main act of worship for the week, and is enhanced through the presence of an organist and choral music, and servers.
In keeping with the traditions of the Anglican Church, vestments are worn and liturgical colours adopted, whilst festivals are celebrated normally with the use of incense. During the Sung Eucharist, a crèche operates for very young children throughout the year, whilst during term time the Junior Church is available for slightly older children up to the age of eleven.
For those who are unable to attend services, the sacrament can be taken to house-bound members of the congregation. Sacramental confession is also available with members of the clergy through appointment. We offer courses in preparation for Baptisms, Confirmations and Weddings. To discuss any of these Occasional Offices, please contact a member of the clergy or the Parish Office.
