Postech medical science and neural interface technology are sophisticated enough to meld metal and flesh into a coherent whole. The creation of advanced cyberware is not beyond the theoretical capability of tech level 4 societies, and pretech worlds can produce cyberware of such sophistication as to blur the lines between organism and artifice.
Subdermal Armour:
From simple Kevlar plates to advanced nano-weave meshes placed under some of the skin, Subdermal armour is both simple and relatively cheap. Anyone who has this cyberware installed has a permanent -1 to their AC score unless they are wearing no armour in which case they count as having an armoured under-suit equipped. Like most cyberware, Subdermal armour is almost undetectable except from either throughout medical examination or TL4 security.
Cyber-Optics:
From single lenses orbs to large insectoid clusters of optics and scanners thrusting out of the head. Cyber-Optics are an obvious piece of cyberware that integrate Low-light goggles, TL4 Binoculars and even a small torch into the front of the user's head. Unlike simple eye replacements, cyberoptics are designed for function over form. Often described as disturbing or outright ugly, they do often find their uses with Cyber-Warriors, Combat troops and special forces. Especially since they also protect against visual flashes grenades.
L.I.M.B Weapon Array:
Light Implanted Machine Blast Weapons Array or LIMB weapons are a lethal package of concealable firepower created for the now-defunct Lanium 'Cobra' program back in 2993. Replacing both the user's arms with advanced Prosthetic Limbs (Each with the normal system strain cost), and mounting Two weapon systems. In the right arm, a powerful anti-personal laser is mounted into the hand with the emitter located in the fifth digit. While in the left is An Anti-Armour Laser. All are run off two internal powerplants located in both the user's forearms which are kept dormant until needed. Though the limbs are obviously synthetic, only a detailed examination or TL 4 security systems are able to detect the heavy firepower while it is inactive. Due to both the lethality of this cyberware combined with its obvious concealability, The L.I.M.B. Weapon Array is both rare and illegal in most tracks of space. The details of the weapon systems are listed below.
Hand Laser (Energy):
Damage: 1d6 Range in Meters: 100/300 Magazine: 10 Attribute: Dex
When the weapon depletes it's magazine the wielder must take one point of system strain as the powerplants generate another load. For stealth considerations the weapon is empty and the powerplant inactive until combat starts.
Arm Cannon (Gunnery):
Damage: 3d10 Range in Meters: 500/1000 Magazine: 1 Attribute: Dex
When the weapon depletes it's magazine the wielder must take one point of system strain as the powerplants generate another load. For stealth considerations the weapon is empty and the powerplant inactive until combat starts.
Ghost-Array:
The Ghost-Array is a relic from before the scream. Made up two main units, a large processor mounted between the user's shoulder blades and multiple optical obfuscation strips implanted throughout the body. When active the unit burns at the user's resolve, costing one additional system strain for each minute of use. Though often the benefits easily outweigh these costs. When active the user doesn't appear on any digital camera or visual devices except as an occasional glitch. More intriguing, if the user is not wearing any clothing, they even become invisible to human eyes. Spotting someone using the Ghost-Array without either TL5 security equipment or Psionic intervention is very hard but not impossible. Thankfully they are extremely rare.
