28th Sunday of the Year CHURCH NOTICES Sunday 12th October 2025
1. Our Monday evening devotions continue as usual with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 6.30pm. This is followed at 7pm by Rosary, Novena Prayers and Benediction.
2. Our Dominican pilgrimage to Knock takes place on this Sunday with pilgrims travelling from all our Dominican houses including St Aengus’s, St Dominic’s & St Mary’s. We wish all the pilgrims a safe journey. We have been reassured of a remembrance in their prayers. The main celebrant of the Mass is Fr Gerard Timoner OP, Master of the Order, who is starting a visitation of the Irish Province.
3. A series of workshops entitled Mustard Seed Bible Project,“Getting to know the Bible,” will take place here in St. Aengus, over 4 nights beginning on Thursday 16th & 23rd of October, 7.30pm to 9pm and again 13th and 23rd of November. The workshops are led by Fr. Martin Hunter OP and team and follows the parable of the Muster Seed. It’s an introduction to the bible and explores the Bible as a book. The good thing is that it’s for everyone and you don’t even have to know anything about the Bible, like the muster seed it is something very small that can grow into something great, and surprising, and of benefit to so many. There is a poster at the back of the Church, and we encourage you to give it a try. All you need to bring is a bible.
4. Advance Notice of the Annual St Martin Triduum from the 3rd to the 5th of Nov here in St Aengus’s at the 10am Mass. Preacher is Fr Stephen Cummins OP, Prior of St Mary’s Priory.
