18th Sunday of the Year CHURCH NOTICES                   Sunday 2nd August 2026

1. Monday next is a Bank Holiday.  There will no Mass on Monday at 11am as both of our Dominicans will be attending the funeral of Fr. Thomas O’ Flynn OP in St. Mary’s Priory at 11.00am. However, there will be a Prayer Service.  There are no evening devotions on a bank holiday.

2. Next Thursday is the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord & next Saturday is the feastday of our Holy Father, St. Dominic.  Both are days of special devotion.   

3. Next Friday is the 1st Friday.  There will be an extra mass at 7.00pm in honour of St. Pio, and this will be followed with a blessing of the relic.  

4. The Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from September 3rd – 8th and will be led by Archbishop Dermot Farrell.  Full details can be found on the poster at the back of the Church.   

5. Thank you to all who contribute weekly to the Church Envelope Collection by way of Envelope or Standing Order to the Bank.  We appeal to every family in the Parish to lend their support to this most important collection.   If you follow our Mass on the webcam we appeal to your generosity to consider making a donation by using the Donate Button on the St Aengus Parish website. Funeral arrangements for Fr Thomas O’Flynn OP:
Lying in repose in the big parlour, St Mary’s Priory, Tallaght, on Sunday 2 August, from 3.00 pm, with prayers at 5 pm.
Removal to St Mary's Priory Church, Tallaght Village at 10.45am on Monday 3rd August, for Requiem Mass at 11.00am.
Burial afterwards in the Priory Cemetery.
