Papua New Guinea is renowned for it's crime, some of which has been known to be violent. If considering visiting PNG by yacht the friendliest and safest locations on the mainland can be found at either the Royal Papua Yacht Club in Port Moresby or the Lae Yacht Club at Voco Point.
