Charitable Giving and Pledging

Please print the form below and send it to the Church if you wish to pledge.

South Congregational Church is founded and operates in the congregational tradition. This simply means there is no parent church organization above South Congregational church and that it is funded by the pledges, tithings and offerings of its congregation. From this income, the Church serves its members and the community and completes its missions.

Please support the work of South Congregational Church as you are able. Give as the Lord has  blessed you for it is more blessed to give than receive.

In order to make it easier to donate to South Congregational Church this is a summary of Online / Mobile Giving Information.

Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account or processed using your debit card. (Note that they can also be processed using your credit card, but we don’t recommend this as this will generate a fee.) You can do this by using your mobile app or your home PC.

Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much needed donation consistency for our congregation. And you will retain the option of designating where your offering goes – general church funds, missions, deacons, etc. – by simply indicating as such when you add a note during the transaction. You will also have the opportunity to do this during our various fund-raising activities throughout the year.

Please see below for the various applications we are currently set up with for electronic fund transfers along with some instructions on how to do this.

PayPal

(1) Download the PayPal app to your smart phone or mobile device from the app store or go to https://paypal.com/.

(2) Follow the instructions to register as a user on PayPal. This will involve creating a username and password and linking a bank account or debit card from which payments will be made.

(3) Once you are registered and logged in, click the "Send" button and on the next screen there will be a window in which you will type the name of the person you want to donate to. The name for the church is: BraintreeSouthCong@gmail.com.

(4) Enter the amount you want to donate.

(5) Indicate that this is for “Friends and Family”. (Note that once you do this one time, it should default to this in the future.)

(5) On the next screen, enter the following:

· First name = “South Congregational”

· Last name = “Church”

· Country of residence = “United States”

(6) Finally, add a note indicating what the donation is for (e.g., weekly tithe – 50% general funds, 25% missions, 25% deacons).

Venmo

(1) Download the Venmo app to your smart phone or mobile device from the app store or go to https://venmo.com/.

(2) Follow the instructions to register as a user on Venmo. This will involve creating a username and password and linking a bank account or debit card from which payments will be made.

(3) Once you are registered and logged in, click the money bag button and on the next screen there will be a window in which you will type the name of the person you want to donate to. The name for the church is: BraintreeSouthCong@gmail.com.

(4) Indicate what the donation is for (e.g., weekly tithe – 50% general funds, 25% missions, 25% deacons).

(5) Enter the amount you want to donate and click "Send".

That's it! 100% of your donation goes to the church, and there is no fee charged to either party. (Note that PayPal and Venmo will charge you a processing fee if you use a credit card - but there are no fees if you use your bank account or debit card.)
