LSEM Alumna to Be New STEM Coordinator

Heather Taylor (BS '00) will be the new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) coordinator for the South Kingstown school department starting in July. Heather has been a science teacher in the Westerly, RI district for the past few years. She recently completed an advanced degree in education from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. In addition to working in the LSEM as an undergraduate, last year she collaborated with us on a series of workshops for Rhode Island science teachers through the National Science Foundation-sponsored RITES program. Congratulations!
