LSEM alumna Reecca Long (M.S. '15) on her new job as a Soil Conservationist with the NRCS office in Lewiston, ME.
Graduate students Ashley Waggoner, Chelsea Duball and Jen Cooper on being awarded $250 travel grants from the College of the Environment and Life Science. They will be presenting their research at the Soil Science Society of America national meeting in Minneapolis, MN (Waggoner, Cooper) and the Coastal and Estuarine Reserach Federation national meeting in Portland, OR (Duball).
Undergraduate student Faith Anderson, who was awarded a $500 grant from the URI Honors Program to fund her Honors research project on the role of soil moisture in controlling nitrogen removal in septic system drainfields.
Graduate student Edwin Fava for the successful defense of his M.S. thesis, "Biosolids as a Roadside Soil Amendment."

Undergraduate student Ingrid Felsl, who will be working with graduate student Brittany Lancellotti in the area of Biogeochemistry and Microbial Ecology of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems. Ingrid hails from Chicago, IL, and is a senior majoring in Environmental Science and Management.
