President

Chief Executive Officer responsible for the Leadership, Management, Direction, and the Association as a whole.

The responsibilities of the President are, but not limited to the following:

* Plan, Delegate, Evaluate, Create Ideas, Set Goals and Direction of the Association.

* Plan and attend all Meetings with Officers and General Membership Base.

* Serve as the Official Representative of the Association.

* Preside over Business Meetings, General Meetings, and the whole of the Association.

* Appoint Officers and Committees; and assign responsibilities.

* Serve as the Communications Director of the Association.

* Be Observant over the Association, Membership Base, Officers, Community Outreach, Programs, Awards, Publications, Meetings, etc.; to ensure Proper Direction is maintained.

Vice-President

Assisting Executive Officer responsible for Facilitating and Upholding the Daily Functions of the Association.

The responsibilities of Vice-President are, but not limited to the following:

* Perform the Duties of the President in his/her absence.

* Oversee any Committees that are created.

* Serve in partnership with the President, as a Leadership Team.

* Assist the President in Appointment of Officers and Committees.

* Attend all meetings.

Secretary/Treasurer

Business Officer responsible for the Records, Archives, and Resources of the Association.

The responsibilities of Secretary/Treasurer are, but not limited to the following:

* Record Accurate Minutes of all Meetings.

* Keep the Association's Permanent Records / Archives.

* Maintain all Membership Information. (I.e. Names, Email, Phone, etc.)

* Be an Official Association Correspondent.

* Prepare / Maintain the Association's Budget. (I.e. Dues, Fees, Fundraising, Expenses, Receipts, etc.)

* Transact Business.

* Organize / Order Association Supplies.

* Update the Officers on the Status of any Records Keeping.

* Keep the President informed on all issues regarding record keeping, membership, and supplies.

* Attend all meetings.

Publications Coordinator

Publishing Officer responsible for the Official Statements, Newsletter, Literature, and other Written Materials.

The responsibilities of the Publications Coordinator are, but not limited to the following:

* Maintain the Association's Newsletter.

* Chief Publications Editor.

* Schedule interviews for News Articles and Point-Of-View reporting.

* Coordinate the Production of News Stories, Interviews, Advertisements, and any other Printed Materials relating to the Association.

* Evaluate and Monitor any Vendor Services, such as Graphic Art or Printing Companies, which may be used in the creation of printed materials.

* Keep the President informed on Publication Status, Schedules, and Estimated Costs related to any publications.

* Attend all meetings.

Education Coordinator

Advancement Officer responsible for the Education and Training Programs.

The responsibilities of the Education Coordinator are, but not limited to the following:

* Coordinate the Educational Curriculum, Training, Activities, and Supplies.

* Evaluate and Maintain Lesson Plans.

* Responsible for Educational Supplies.

* Cultivate New Ideas and Training Programs.

* Stay well-informed and aware of New Trends, Software and Hardware Applications, and other Topics related to GIS and Geography.

* Assist the Publications Coordinator with Newsletter, Educational Features, and How-To Articles.

* Advise the President and other Officers related to Education and Training.

* Maintaining Accreditation for Professional Certifications and Continuing Education Credits for the Association Officers and Members.

* Attend all meetings.

Geological Advisor

Advisory Officer responsible for Assisting the Association with Geological Studies

The responsibilities of the Geological Advisor are, but not limited to the following:

* Identify and Improve upon Research Methods.

* Assist the Leadership with Geological Predictions, Analysis, and Reports.

* Provide Geological Expertise to the Association.

Project Coordinator

Delegating Officer responsible for the Projects involving the Association.

The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator are, but not limited to the following:

* Maintain scheduling of projects and deadlines.

* Ensure SCGA Projects are running smoothly, and on time.

* Coordinate meetings and oversee members of the project team.

* Inform Leadership of project status.

* Evaluate, delegate, and monitor high priorities regarding projects.

* Attend all meetings.

Outreach Coordinator

Communications Officer responsible for Promoting the Association and Generating Community Response.

The responsibilities of the Outreach Coordinator are, but not limited to the following:

* Spread the word about the Association and Generate Community Interest.

* Grow the Membership Base, and Professional Connections.

* Assist in any Community Outreach events, meetings, or projects.

* Update the Association on any Status/Progress in Outreach at Association Meetings.

* Research if any permits, permissions, etc. are needed for Community Outreach Events / Special Occasions; and Ensure that any Documentation is completed prior to said event.

* Keep the President informed on all Outreach issues.

* Attend all meetings.

Advisory Board Members

Body of Appointed Members who Oversee the Activities of the Association.

The responsibilities of the Advisory Board Members are, but not limited to the following:

* Support the Association.

* Advise the President and other Officers on issues regarding the Association.
