Dear dendroarchaeologists, here I uploaded a video showing how we take an increment core from dry oakwood using our electric borer. Several dendroarchaeologists, mainly Europeans, asked me if our electric borer works also on archaeological timbers, such as oak beams from buildings. We will bring the dry oakwood in the video (it will be sliced into a smaller disk) to TRACE2018 so that the interested participants can try our electric borer on log-wood fixed on a table.
