MARRIAGE On Saturday last, at Macquarie Park, Prospect, by the Rev John M'Garvie, Captain Morris, of the "Australia", to Miss Sarah Whalan, daughter of Mrs. Charles Whalan, of that place.
Sarah Louisa Morris (57+) was the daughter of Captain John Morris and Sarah Whalan. and granddaughter of Sergeant Charles Whalan. Her baptism was recorded at St John’s Parramatta in 1840:

On the 3rd instant, at his residence, George-street, Parramatta, Captain John Morris, (of the Emu, steam packet) aged 44 years.
THE friends of the late Captain John Morris are respectfully requested to attend his funeral, which will move from his late residence, George-street, Parramatta, at half-past 2 P.M., This Day, Monday, the 6th instant
Sarah Louisa married Timothy Small as reported in the Sydney Morning Herald of Saturday 7 November 1857
On the 3rd instant, by special licence, at St. John's, Parramatta, by the Rev. G. E. Turner, Mr. Timothy Small, of Ryde, to Sarah Louisa, eldest daughter of the late Captain John Morris, of Parramatta.
Visitors to Old Government House, Parramatta will see the bed which Governor and Mrs Macquarie gave to Sergeant Charles Whalan and his wife, when the Governor’s time in New South Wales came to an end, and the Macquaries returned to England. This bed was passed down to descendants of Charles and Elizabeth Whalan, and is on permanent loan to the National Trust.
Also on display at Old Government House is the writing desk, which young Lachlan Macquarie gifted to his old friend, Sergeant Charles Whalan, after he returned to England. The desk can be seen in the Governor’s office on the ground floor.
