Mary Small and Mathew Hughes were married at St John's Parramatta on 6th October 1808 by James Mileham JP

and then again on 12th March 1810 by Henry Fulton. This second marriage has the note that

"General permission of his Excellency Govr Macquarie, having been married Oct 5 1808 by James Mileham J. P."
