Introduction

Workshop: New Forms of Online Collaboration and Communication

Project communication usually takes place in meetings where the project theme, goals and contents are discussed. After that comes the agreement on each project activity, i.e. it is determined who delivers what and when. The work progress is documented and presented at the end in the project's final report.

A part of this project work can also take place online WEB2.0 tools. So, for example the exchange of messages, invitations, agreeing on dates, administration of appointments, the exchange of materials and writing reports together can be done online.

The aim of this workshop is to familiarise participants with the different types of webtools through a small project simulation. The requirements for participating in this Workshop are a basic knowledge of word processing and presentation (MS Office, OpenOffice) programs and also some basic photo editing skills.

The participants should complete the tasks independently or in cooperation with other participants using all the communication techniques that they have learned in the Workshop. They also have the opportunity to ask for help using Twitter, which will then be given to them by the moderators using Skype /Mikogo.
