- Kindle Reader
- Different Amazon Kindle readers for reading books, newspapers, magazins and one's own documents are available. The default format is MOBI, i.e. eBooks in the popular format EPUB must be converted before reading. Luckily eBooks without DRM (=copy protection) can be easy converted with PC applications such as Calibre.
- Kindle App
- For iPhone, iPad, Android mobile phone, Macs and Windows PCs the free Kindle reading app is available, so one can read all books and magazines purchased for the Kindle also on these devices.  
- Kindle e-mail
- Each Kindle user gets an e-mail address to which personal documents can be sent. Attachments to these messages can be stored in the cloud and loaded on to the readers. PDF files can be converted into the MOBI-format. The account holders can also authorize any sender they choose.   
- Borrowing books
- In the U.S.A premium user can borrow eBooks, currently about 145,000 books, and there will be more. At the moment this service is not yet available in Europe. 
- Lending Books 
- In the U.S.A it is possible to lend purchased books to friends or other people for 14 days. Again, this service is not yet available in Europe.
