- Prepare
- Collect your material in a word processor, for example in Google Docs. You can create the whole book in one file or each chapter in a single file; we suggest to do it without formating. Save your file or files. Then download them in TXT-format on your computer. Choose a nice cover photo – preferably in the size 550 x 750 pixels - and, if you like, also a picture for each chapter (about 400 x 300 pixels).
- 1. Create by Sigil
- Open the program Sigil and copy and paste each chapter in Sigil using the txt files from Googledocs. Use for the titles of the chapters - H1 to H6 - format. Insert pictures, create a table of contents and insert metadata. The book is stored in the EPUB format. Here you can find more information.
- 2. Erstellen mit writer2epub
- Mit der Erweiterung writer2epub kann aus einer Textdatei in Open Office, in der mindestens die Überschriften der Kapitel - H1 bis H3 - formatiert sind, eine EPUB-Datei erstellt werden.
- 3. Erstellen als HTML-Datei
- Der Buchinhalt kann auch mit Open Office oder Microsoft Office erstellt und als HTML-Datei abgespeichert werden. Danach erfolgt dann ein Umformatieren in das gewünschte Buchformat.
