Been a bit quiet for a while, but news just in today...
Bill Metoyer is putting the final touches on the new FLOOD record. A release date impends… 

Well, I clearly got the Feb - May release date completely wrong!  Latest is that it will be out sometime this year, although there is a sneaking chance that it will push in to 2024.  So, I'm hoping for the end of the year, but we'll have to wait and see.

Another update from Gary about the second album...

FLOOD is finishing production on its sophomore record. Guy Ritter and I are tracking vocals now. The pipes have never belted so strong!!! Get ready…

"The next step for FLOOD is the 2nd record. We are already recording it! Live shows can happen when (if) the pandemic stuff goes away. "

The website has just changed, and the countdown has returned!

Gary has just announced that they will be doing a live concert on 1st January 2022 on Facebook.  Not sure who's going to be in it, whether it will be the full band or just Gary and Guy.  We'll have to just wait and see.

News just in from Gary Lenaire...
In the final phases of the debut record’s mix. I’m reminded today that it took Guy and I two years to define the TQT sound in Los Angeles from 1987-1989. This time, this band, it took 18 months. Occasionally I wanted to move it along quicker but that isn’t how we work. Patience (and a seasoned sense of humor) has served us. This music is truly our offering to God. May those who need to hear it…hear it LOUD!

OK, some new record stuff: 1. It’s a new band with original members. 2. It’s Metal...and more Metal. 3. Bill Metoyer is mixing the record. 4. Gonna be released on vinyl, CD, digital and 8-track. ok, no 8-track...

In September 2020, Lenaire and Ritter founded a new Metal band, name forthcoming.

Nothing new to report, so that's not really news then is it!  But just thought I'd mention that Gary Lenaire is still producing more music, so I guess there's a remote possibility that Guy would sing on another track...? The interesting thing about Guy's vocals is that he's lost none of that signature sound.  I thought that maybe he would after all these years, but he's still got it!

Okay, well here's some current up-to-date EXCITING news!  Yes, I know that doesn't happen very often but hey, this time there is actually something worth mentioning!  Gary Lenaire is releasing a solo album and one song will have Guy doing the vocals.  Not sure what the song will be about (given Gary's beliefs) but hopefully it will be good.  Looking forward to it, anyway!  The news was announced on Gary's facebook page.

Whilst I won't be giving any up to date information on Gary Lenaire I thought I would mention that I have just heard he has recorded some more music under the title of Talking Snakes. Gary is no longer a Christian, so his lyrics obviously won't be either, but if you'd like to have a listen to what his new stuff sounds like (and the music is really good) you can have a look here.

No more news to tell, but just thought I'd update the news section to let everyone know that we're still around! If you would like to hear what the remasters that Gary has recently done for Lost Years II, then head to Amazon.com and you can hear a short extract from each of the songs. It seems like Gary, Victor and Erik will be recording something together but Guy may not be involved at all. Sad news if it's true.

The Echo Hollow website is down at the moment.

According to Gary's CNC site, there are plans for another reunion in 2006, hopefully with Eric this time!! 

In an interview with "Thunderground Radio" Gary Lenaire mentioned Echo Hollow regarding it's future....

Tunderground Radio: CNC is comprised of 3 Echo Hollow members. Is Echo Hollow no longer?

Gary: Echo Hollow was really an independent studio project. Touring was never considered. EH may do something in the future but I have no current plans for that.

For fans of Echo Hollow "The Lost Years" really is a treat. Not as heavy as anything that Guy has sung on so far, but well worth the price. The track list is as follows: (Guy sings on the songs highlights in orange):

I'm hoping it's not, but this looks like it could be the last time we hear from Guy or Echo Hollow. The release of this album seems to suggest that there will be no more songs from the vocals of Guy. Website has just been updated with the rather sad news that...."Echo Hollow is on sabbatical. Gary Lenaire, Rafik Oganyan and Matt Rosenblum are now creating music in Cripple Need Cane, a Los Angeles-based group." However, on a slightly positive note, the word sabbatical means 'break' rather than 'quit'. So there is still hope.

Guy has a daughter to take care of and Gary is in a new band so the release of the new album isn't so sure. Matt Rosenblum, Rafik Oganyan and Gary, who are/were in Echo Hollow are now in this new band called 'Crippled Need Cane'.

....and still we wait..... Someone has heard the title track "Superficial Intelligence" and said it was more mellow than the previous "Echo Hollow" album.

Nothing new to report. Still waiting for news of when the new album will be released. I guess that it won't be til the end of this year now.
