By-Laws
The Sew Busy Quilt Guild was formed in September 1995 by a group of women who wanted to share their love of quilts. We are a non-profit organization whose membership is open to all. The guild's by-laws were originally drafted in 1995 and have undergone several revisions since then, most recently in May 2020. You can view the by-laws here Sew Busy Quilt Guild By-Laws.
Sit and Sew Nights
Sit and Sew Nights are held the fourth Monday of each month from September through May (except December) at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 161 South Main Street, Gloversville (Ottaviano Hall). The doors open at 5:00 pm. Workshops and demonstrations will begin at 6:00 pm. Members are always welcome to work on their own projects on these nights. Tables are available to baste quilts, as well as plenty of space for committee meetings, work on Block of the Month kits, etc.
Monthly Greeters
Monthly Greeters are responsible for greeting guild members, having them sign in, and identifying visitors & new members.
Show and Tell
Members bring show and tell each month. To view photos of the wonderful quilts, please visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/groups/898457793581800/
Free Table
Members are encouraged to bring any item they no longer need or want and place it on the free table at the back of the meeting hall. These items are free to any other member to take home. If you bring an item, be sure to check the table at the end of the meeting. If your item is still there, take it back home with you. Please do not discard items in the church hall garage containers.
