The Sew Busy Quilt Guild of Gloversville, New York was formed in September, 1995 with a group of women who wanted to share their love of quilts.  We are a non-profit organization, whose membership is open to all.
Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month from September to June (except December, January & February). Doors open at 6:15 pm. All meetings, with the exception of December, March and June, begin at 6:45 pm and include a Business Meeting, demonstrations and/or presenters, and Show & Tell. December and June meetings include a covered dish dinner at 6:00 pm.  The March meeting is dedicated to service projects and also begins at 6:00 pm.  Meetings are held at the Church of the Holy Spirit - Ottaviano Hall, 161 South Main St., Gloversville, NY.

Sit and Sew Nights

Sit and Sew Nights are held the second Monday of each month from October through June (except December, January & February).  The doors open at 6:15 pm. Workshops and demonstrations will begin at 6:45 pm.  Members are always welcome to work on their own projects; tables are available to baste quilts, as well as plenty of space for committee meetings, work on Block of the Month kits, etc.

Cancellation information and Phone Tree Protocol

In the event of inclement weather, or events beyond our control, it may be necessary to cancel a guild meeting. The president will make this decision and activate the phone tree.  She will call the person at the head of each column.  That person will call all the people in their column.  If Johnstown and/or Gloversville schools are closed, then the guild meeting is cancelled.  We will also try to post the cancellation on WENT radio station as well as on the Facebook page and this website.  PLEASE make sure that your phone number on the emergency calling list is the best one to use in contacting you.
