Empire QuiltFest

Empire QuiltFest's tenth show will be held April 27 and 18, 2024!!

Empire QuiltFest has been held at Shenendehowa High School East for the past several shows, but this year it's coming closer to home.  It will be held at Fulton Montgomery Community College's Physical Education building in Johnstown!

The theme for the 2022 show will still be "EQF X: Diamonds and Daffodils".  We hope to have great participation in theme quilts.  Because it is the tenth Empire QuiltFest, your theme quilt can contain ten of anything.  It could also have diamonds, or daffodils.  Any one of those three theme's will count for the 2024 theme: ten, diamonds or daffodils.  Of course you can be creative and include two of them or even all three!  Just remember, the theme quilt cannot be lay larger that 42 inches in any direction.

Empire QuiltFest is a biannual event organized by a group of five quilt guilds.  Sew Busy Quilt Guild is one of these participants.  Each of the five guilds agrees to perform certain tasks for the show.  One duty SBQG usually accepts is handling the quilt registrations.  That means we also type up the quilt descriptions and make the decorative clothes pins that attach the description to each quilt.

Ceci VanDenburgh & Cathy Jo Rogers are our guild's representative for Empire QuiltFest. If you'd like more information, go to EmpireQuiltFest.org or email our guild at SewBusyQuilts@gmail.com.
