Run Modes

There are two primary run modes for SERPM8

• Full Run: runs all components within the speed feedback iteration, generating new demands based on the skim inputs and running both highway and transit assignment
• Assignment Only: runs only the assignment procedures and uses the trip tables from another full run

Note that setting up a Select Link analysis is discussed in the Applications section.

Full Run

The options to consider when initiating a Full Run of the SERPM model are:

• If the intermediate results should be archived or overwritten;
• If temporary files should be removed

Assignment Only

In an assignment only model run, the modeler must identify the source scenario from which trip tables will be used. This is defined in the Path to Source Scenario for Assignment Only / Reproduce Full Run Modes key (see graphic below).

The assignment only may include transit skimming and assignment or run only the highway assignment. To run the transit assignment as well as the highway assignment, select the check box next to the Assignment Only: update transit network and run transit assignment scenario key (see graphic below).
