About Us
1. Who are we?
We are a community of math-loving youths living and studying in the region of île-de-France. The majority of our fellows are master students and PhDs majored in mathematics. Our activities aim to make more friends, to enhance our communication and to study mathematics by organizing seminars and workshops (groupes de travail).
2. Organizers
SHAN Yi, YUAN Jiangfan, ZHOU Yicheng.
3. Activities
We have two types of activities: seminar talks and workshops (groupes de travail), see Archives.
The routine meeting time is 14:00-16:00 and/or 16:30-18:30 on Saturday, in the salle 15-25 502 at Jussieu. (How to come) The ultimate schedule for each talk is likely to change. Please keep a close watch on our notice board or check regularly your email.
Our topics with key words:
Algebraic geometry: birational geometry, minimal model program, complex manifolds, rationally connected varieties, higher dimensional varieties, Hodge theory, algebraic cycles, motives, algebraic dynamical systems, moduli spaces, deformation theory, vector bundles, K-theory, derived categories, stacks, ...
Number theory: Galois representation, automorphic forms, modular forms, Zeta function, L-function, trace formula, ...
Arithmetic geometry: elliptic curves, Shimura varieties, Abelian varieties, rational points, quadratic forms, étale cohomology, local-global principle, weak approximation, Brauer-Manin obstruction, modular curves, R-equivalence, homogeneous spaces, Brauer group, Arakelov geometry, ...
Others: algebraic groups, symplectic geometry, geometric representation theory, dynamical systems, index theory, mathematical physics ...
Lectures and talks are in principle designed to master/PhD students, whose major interests lie in algebraic geometry and/or number theory. Our speakers are expected to take into account the background of the audience and try to make their lectures more accessible. A speaker may choose the language of his/her talk subject to the condition that the language must be acceptable to all of the audience of that talk.
