Week 4 - Coursework Component 1 Reflection

From this week’s tutorial I learned how to review a project called "Broadcasting Entrepreneurial Skills as a service":

• What could be improved?

• What would you change about the project?

• Strengths and Limitations of the project.

In addition, I have found out the following when reviewing the project:

• Implementation: where the project could get different organisations involved

• Primary purpose: Not clear who the target audience are (student, youth)

• Positive: Student will not participate in the class instead go on platform so as to avoid face to face communication. Where the mentors are from and what they mentor you on?

• Might be too broad( spanning over china vs UK )

• A lot of ambiguity in project: Accessibility would be able to use service on part one

  • Language barriers

  • tackling the censored use of web

  • is it going to be implemented in a same way in china/uk?

  • What technology is going to be used: technology is not clearly defined

  • A more graphical layout would have been better

  • List of media outlets and how will they be used ?

  • The project will work best as a website with the ability to share video and content

What is more, as a group we have learnt how to write a project for our Coursework component 1. This will be of use to my future studies at LSBU or elsewhere as in the future I would need to know how to write a project proposal

One aspect of the tutorial that I found particularly useful was how to review a project proposal that was refused and how to explain why the project proposal would fail.

If I have to do a review of the project again I will look into more detail on why this project failed as this will help me overcome the initial difficulties I faced.
