Penny Collins
When I was 15 I stole my sister's university textbook, reading it cover to cover, captivated by the Stanford Prison Experiment and Pavlov's dogs. In 2009 I was asked to teach Stage 1 and I absolutely loved it!
I am a science educator (Biology/Physics/Psychology) passionate about pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and professional sharing. I am total nerd when it comes to digital tools and I am proud to be a Google Certified Innovator. Previously a Digital Pedagogy Innovation Leader at the ASMS I am the past Leader of the SA Google Educators Group. I curate a list of SA schools using G Suite (aka Google Workspace).
I am currently blog at prototypingeducation.com

I started my teaching career as a Legal Studies and Accounting teacher in Adelaide, then moved to Mildura, Victoria where I was given the opportunity to teach VCE Psychology for several years. I loved it and have never looked back. Psychology is my passion and I have thrown myself into the Psychology teachers community in SA getting involved wherever I can to improve my teaching and understanding of all things Psychology. I am also currently studying a Master of Education at Flinders University and have been recognised during 2011 for some of my achievements as a Secondary Teacher, both in South Australia and at the National level. Since being shown Google sites by Penny 6 months ago I have loved the challenge of developing online resources and recommend anyone to have a ago! Until then we hope you find the resources we have put together here both time saving and useful.

In 2009 I put my hand up to teach Stage 1 and Stage 2 Psychology and have not looked back. When I first started I found the South Australian Teachers' Website valuable and in the early beginnings most of my resources came from the site. I am currently a Pedagogy Coach at Mount Barker High School and am relishing the opportunity to work with other teachers to improve their practice. Over the years I have been able to build upon my own psychology resources and have jumped at the opportunity to assist in populating this site with resources for the new Stage 1 course in 2021 and the Stage 2 course in 2022 and hope you to find it as valuable as I do.
