That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ~Romans 10:9-10
The LORD God, Yehovah, wants to have a relationship with YOU! He loves you with an everlasting love! Salvation is about restoring a relationship that the LORD God had with his beloved creation from the beginning before it was broken by sin and disobedience. It is about healing a relationship. And Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach, is central to God's plan of restoring the relationship and reconciling us to Him (II Corinthians 5:18). Jesus allowed Himself to be sacrificed on a Roman cross to cover the sins of mankind so that we would be presentable to Yehovah, who is holy and righteous. Jesus rose from the dead, on the third day after His death, and now interceded on our behalf to Yehovah (Romans 8:34). He did that for all of us. It is a gift to us. All we have to do is confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and that He is now pleading our case before our Father. It's that simple. Our faith invites the transformation in our spirits that makes us into new people in Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 5:17).
Let's pray it together:
Loving and Gracious Father, Eternal God, I come before You today to worship you in spirit and in truth. I confess that I am a sinner and that I need your grace, your forgiveness, and your salvation. I thank You for loving me enough to send Jesus Christ to take on my sins and to die for me on Calvary's cross. Jesus rose from the dead and He is now pleading my case before You, Lord. I thank You for salvation and eternal life that You offer to me for free. I believe Your words are true. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life, come into my heart, and make me over. Transform me, LORD God, that I would be remade in your image through your Holy Spirit! I thank You that You hear me when I pray. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen!
