Convex Geometry II - SS18

This course is a continuation of Convex Geometry I, taught in the previous semester.

Lectures begin on April 18th.

The content of this course is:

Symmetrisations, Brunn-Minkowski inequality, Brascamp-Lieb and Barthe inequalities, Isotropic convex bodies, Covering numbers, L_p Minkowski problem.

The material will be based mostly on the following two books:

Peter M. Gruber, Convex and Discrete Geometry, Springer.

Rolf Schneider, Convex Bodies: The Brunn-Minkowski Theory, Cambridge.

Announcements

23/04/2018 The notes of last year's course are uploaded (taught by Prof. Martin Henk). We will probably expand on the 4th chapter, concerning isotropic convex bodies, and will not do the last chapter.

Some exercise sessions will be held during lectures. The first one will be on Wednesday, May 2nd.
