- The body is made up of 60-80% water. This varies depending on the amount of water consumed, exercise performed and weather conditions. As well as any foods consumed that are salty, surgary or caffeinated beverages that would dehydrate the body.
- A person needs to drink a minimum of eight, 8 oz. servings of water daily.
- If it is HOT outside or you are exercising a person needs to drink more water!
- If a person drinks a caffeinated beverage a then they need to drink twice as much water to replace what will be lost.
For example: If a you drink a 16oz. pop, then you must drink two 16oz. glasses of water to
make up for the pop. This does not count toward your eight serrvings for the day, it merely
brings you back to zero.
