Nighttime

Joined a group this evening to do some nighttime photography around the MIT campus. We concentrated on the area surrounding the Stata Center, probably MIT's most unusual building!

Lots of reflective surfaces, grass, trees, curved walls, brickwork, corrugated steel - you name it and it's there!

Quite a mixture of light sources, and therefor color renderings. A fun playground for photography. I'm definitely going to do more shooting after dark!

At right is part of a sculpture called, Aesop's Fables, II by Mark Di Suvero. It's photographed here with MIT Buildings E15, 66, and 68 in the background. Funky light, and light painted on the sculpture with a flashlight. The cloudy sky turned a milky color in this 20 second time exposure.
