Full Moon over Boston

I saw this photo developing while walking home on Friday night. What to do: get a pitiful mobile phone pic, or run home (nb. I don't run), get the dslr and tripod, speed-walk back to the bridge, set up, and hope a reasonable composition was still possible. The moon moves fast!

I took the latter route and got the gear from home. Still a cool photo but once the sky gets that dark, it's hard to balance the exposure with the bright moon. This was an 8 second time exposure with the camera set at f8, ISO 200.

ps. Is there a thing about making out under the full moon? There were a number of couples so engaged.
