Dragon Boat Races on the Charles River

Wandered over to the Charles river today to witness the Dragon Boat Races, an annual event.

I shot quite a bit but in the end settled on just a dozen photos. I tend to be drawn to shapes, colors, and patterns, and this is pretty evident in the shots which came out of the triage.

The light was quite variable due to changing cloud cover so some shots are vibrant, while others evidence a more soft, even light.

I continue to marvel at the sharpness of the used Sigma 50-150/2.8 lens in my tool kit. It's relatively small and light for 2.8 glass. This is thanks, in part, to the lack of image stabilization.
