This is a physical experience relating to Hibuse-no-Osasa (the divine bamboo leaves to put out the fire), which was granted to a follower at RHK’s Matsuyama Prayer Hall. In the cram school A-san runs, there was a ninth grade student who was soon going to sit a transfer admission exam. However, the student never did his homework and A-san began to feel angry at him. A-san was still angry after giving the student a verbal reprimand. A-san then banged on the desk. When he was still unable to hold back his anger, he finally kicked a round chair with all his might. When he returned home late that night, the top of his right foot with which he kicked the round chair started to hurt. The pain intensified and in the end he was unable to walk that night. He put some Osasa-no-Kuroyaki (the charred powder from the divine bamboo leaves) onto a plaster and placed it over the right foot. The pain in his right foot persisted even after he went to bed. He had to rest his foot on something
so that the toes would not touch the mattress directly; otherwise, it was too painful to fall asleep. A-san then apologized to Goshugojinsama and Nidaisama for having acted out his emotions and offered the united prayers. He woke up after 10am the following morning, and as he went downstairs, he noticed a slight easing of the pain. Thinking that he would not need to see an orthopedic specialist, he went back to sleep until past noon. When he woke up again, the foot pain was gone. He still walked with a slight limp that day; however, the pain had totally subsided by the next day and he was no longer dragging his feet. A-san was filled with gratitude. He also learned the importance of pursuing the path and following the divine teachings without allowing oneself to become emotional. Thank you very much, Goshugojinsama and Nidaisama.
