After A-san received the Divine Connection on 16 April, 1994, in order to seek the divine protection on the safety of her family, her father passed away in the following month. On 8 June, the day of the Goseiryosai (the Divine Journey Festival), A-san placed the supplication for the Soul Purification of the Deceased for her father. From about one week before the Divine Journey Festival, A-san’s eldest daughter who was in grade 3 at the time (now 24 years old) started dreaming about A-san’s deceased father. A-san’s father used to be very fond of her eldest daughter. As he was still in good health when she was small, he used to take her to various places and even participated in a tug-of-war by parents at the sports festival at her kindergarten. However, by the time she was old enough to understand things, he was already in a wheelchair. Therefore, she had almost no memory of having played with her grandfather. Each day, she would tell A-san about her dream, saying “I played with
grandpa again today”. In her dream, she went out with her grandfather to the amusement park, the local park and the zoo every day. He ran with her and picked her up in his arms.
At the recommendation of the follower who had first introduced RHK to A-san, she placed the supplication for the Soul Purification of the Deceased for her father on 8 June. Then, the next morning, her eldest daughter told A-san about her dream in which her grandfather had said to her, “I won’t be able to play with you anymore because I am going to the God’s place. Good-bye” and started walking up a sparkling-white staircase which was leading so high up toward heaven that she could not see the end from here. Mystified by her eldest daughter’s dream, A-san mentioned this to the follower who had guided her to RHK. Then, the follower explained to A-san that it meant that the soul of A-san’s deceased father had ascended to the God’s domain by the supplication for the Soul Purification of the Deceased. After that, A-san’s eldest daughter never saw the dream of A-san’s father. This happened at the time when A-san had little idea of the faith with RHK, having only just received the
Divine Connection. A-san is overwhelmed with gratitude for being granted the opportunity to learn the significance of the supplication of the Soul Purification of the Deceased through her eldest daughter’s dream. A-san hopes to enlighten others about the meaning of the Divine Journey Festival and ask many others to visit RHK. Thank you very much, Goshugojinsama and Nidaisama.
