Pollinator Field
In addition to the warm weather grass fields we maintain as part of the PA CREP program, we also keep a pollinator field of indigenous wild flowers, our aesthetic contribution to conservation landscaping. This field is located at the entrance to our Chapter's property, and was planted to support the Blue Bird trail we installed this year, as well as the apiary we will be installing.
In addition to the natural beauty this field provides, it is an important food source for local pollinators of all types - bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds - but also the insects that our songbirds feed and thrive on.
This field complements our warm weather grass nesting fields - and it makes our driveway entrance incredibly beautiful as well!
