Bobby Parks
We are pleased to announce that Bobby Parks is joining us in 2023.
Bobby played for Hampshire and Kent as a wicket keeper and substituted for Bruce French in an England game v New Zealand. He also coached the French National team.
Bobby will be assisting with Academy coaching and running Sunday Night Nets after Keepers Klub.
Covid19
Restrictions lift.
From October 12th 2021. Indoor sport will continue as before as restrictions have been lifted following guidance from Government and ECB. We are allowing spectators in from Tuesday 15th February, but they must wear a mask when entering the building and please sanitize hands when entering and leaving the building.
Sessions will follow the same protocols as before. Please see below.

Stone Moves onwards and upwards
Oli Stone has made a move to Nottinghamshire for 2023 and recently been selected for the coming England one day team to tour in January. As ever we wish him success in the 2023 season.
First England International for Red Mist Cricket
Former Red Mist Cricket Academy player, Oli Stone has been selected for England to tour Sri Lanka this winter. Oli has been working hard towards this target over the last few years with Northants and now Warwickshire. His success during the 2018 season has seen him recognised by the England selectors. We all wish him a successful tour and many more matches in the future.
Oli Becomes a Brummie
Former Red Mist Academy player, Oli Stone has signed a new contract with Warwickshire for 2017. After developing his game at Northamptonshire, along with other Red Mist Academy players on their Academy, and playing in the 1st XI in 2014 and 15, Oli has grabbed the chance to play in Division 1 and hopefully progress to possible international honours. We wish him well in his recovery from injury and to a successful 2017 with the bears

Norfolk Players turning it on for First Class Counties
Rob Newton returned to form with a century for Northants and Ollie Stone returned the compliment by bowling Paul Collingwood for a first ball duck last month, after Collingwood did the same to him on his debut. Matthew Plater has had centuries for Northants 2nd XI. Jaik Mickleburgh scored 146 for Essex and Callum Taylor has been scoring well in their 2nd XI. Various other former Academy players have been playing for County 2nd XI's. Matthew Taylor, Sam Hunt, Tom Oxley have all pay Northants 2's. Jack Timmins played for Norfolk as 12th man.
Tyler Murphy, Flynn Drinkell and Hundson De Lucchi played for Norfolk Under 17's in July. All of these players are Under 13. Good luck to them all.
Oli Stone captained England Under 19's to victory in the first test against South Africa.
Oli Stone is a former Red Mist Academy player, now under contract with Northamptonshire and after selection for England, was asked to be captain. Taking more wickets than anyone, he won man of the series too.
Matthew Taylor has travelled to South Africa with England Under 17's this week, where he will play and train with the squad during a two week period. there is a chance he will also captain the team.
Alex Patmore is another former Red Mist Academy player making his international caps count with Japan. Japan play in the ICC division 8 series. Alex has already had good scores including a century and we wish him well.

Oli Stone gets England Opportunity and Contract
Oli Stone, a former member of the Red Mist Academy and Vauxhall Mallards player, has been invited to join England Under 19's for training. After bowling at the England Lions before the match against West Indies, Oli was contacted by the Under 19 manager. Oli was also on Northamptonshires' Academy but has just been offered a two year, first class contract with Northamptonshire.
Callum Taylor, Will Rogers, Matthew Taylor and Matthew Plater Given Academy Places
Former Red Mist Academy players, Callum Taylor and Matthew Taylor of Swardeston, Will Rogers of Great Witchingham and Matthew Plater of Vauxhall Mallards, have been given places on Essex and Northamptonshires' Academies for the forthcoming year. Matthew Taylor, one of the best leg spinners for his age in the country, has also been selected as captain for South of England Under 15's and England Under 15's, whilst Callum has been selected for the South team too. They will play in the midlands in The Bunbury Festival, including one T20 match at Derbyshires County Ground. Matthew Plater has been training with England Under 17's.

Former Northamptonshire wicket keeper David Ripley gave the young cricketers of Taverham Hall School the benefit of his long experience of the First Class game when he gave them a coaching masterclass.

Chris Brown at the top of his game
Chris Brown, after qualifying as ECB Level IV, has been asked to assist the lead coaches in the BJMT Elite Spin Bowling Programme in the absence of Peter Such (formerly Essex and England). This means that he is working with the top spin bowlers in the country at County and International Levels. Those spinners that attend the Spin Clinics on Mondays will testify that the level of spin coaching in Norfolk is of the highest standard. Congratulations to Browny.
Kanons go bang
New Kanon bowling/training machines have arrived and already started to show how invaluable these can be. County squads, skills groups, one to ones and pupils at Taverham Hall have started using the Kanons for skills grooving, fielding and catching and as an alternative bowling machine.
