Royal Readers
What is it?
It's an annual reading contest. In exchange for reading a number of books, students will receive prizes. The contest will end in May. Students will have a total of seven months to read all contest books. The party will be held on Wednesday, May 8th.
What do you need to do to win prizes?
-Students reading 9 books will receive a pizza party invitation and an engraved medal.
-Students who read a minimum of 5 books will be invited to the pizza party. The picture books do not count towards the five needed for the pizza party.
-All students who read a minimum of five books will qualify to win prizes including free hamburgers from In N Out Burgers and kid's meals from Rubio's.
The contest end date will be Friday, May 3rd.

How does it work?
There is no need to sign-up! Everything is done electronically.
1) Read a contest book.
2) Take and pass the corresponding AR quiz. All contest books have a quiz available. You must pass the quiz to get credit. If you fail, you may not retake. If you are not using the AR program with your English/Read 180 teacher, you must take the hard copy version at the library.
3) To verify that you are receiving credit for quizzes passed, please consult the official list posted at this address: Click here to access the new site This is a secured page and you will need to obtain the password from your teacher or librarian.
