10th Missouri Infantry

The 10th Missouri (Subsequently known as the 10th Consolidated Regiment)(Steen's/Pickett's/Moore's) was organized at Camp Mulberry, situated east of Fort Smith, Arkansas on November 10, 1862.

Major battles of the 10th were: Prairie Grove - Nov 1862 (31 killed, 62 wounded); Helena AR - July 1863 (11 killed, 41 wounded, 237 captured); Pleasant Hill LA - April 1864 (10 killed, 25 wounded); Jenkins Ferry, Camden AR - April 1864 (3 killed 8 wounded). Following this battle the remaining companies were consolidated with the 12th Missouri Infantry. The men were paroled at Shreveport, LA on July 8, 1865.

Total casualties for the war: 61 Battle Deaths, 198 Deaths due to Illness, 2 Accidental Deaths.
