I quickly found out that Ivy Bridge CPUs runs hot, very hot. Looking around the net, I found out that improvements could be done delidding the IHS from the PCB of the CPU and apply better thermal paste. I found a few videos about how to do it on youtube and did the job my-self.
For the job I used these items:
Stanley razorblades
Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra
Then I followed what the guy in this video is telling to do:
It is pretty easy, but can take some time (15 - 30 minutes) I guess. Getting the razorblade to the glue can be difficult.
