2012 Freshman Sendoff Cookout

Welcome to Penn State University!

We are the Greater Scranton Alumni Chapter. We represent the alumni from all 24 Penn State campuses living in Lackawanna and Wyoming counties.

We are inviting the incoming freshmen and their families to a cookout and you are part of a class of over 300 students, soon attending the Altoona, Behrend (Erie), Berks, Harrisburg, Hazleton, Mont Alto, Abington, University Park, Wilkes-Barre, World, and Worthington Scranton campuses!

There will be food, prizes, and an opportunity to chat with some of the current students and alumni from our area.

We'll start cooking at 5:30pm, and we'll keep the cookout going to dusk. We'll be at Pavilion #2, near the lake.

We are asking any Chapter Member interested in helping out with set-up, cooking, clean-up or anyone who would like to come and share your Penn State knowledge and pride with incoming students.

Update 8-10-2012:

Yesterday's Freshman Sendoff was a great success!

The lightening and torrential downpours held off just in time for all of our guests to have their burgers/dogs, salads and Penn State cake! We even got some great publicity in today's paper!
