The Fine Print 
  • Membership in the Chapter is open to everyone: Alumni, Students, Parents, Friends, and Fans.
  • Our Annual Membership (January-December) is only $15.00, and couples pay only $20.00. (All memberships expire on December 31, 2018).
  • 2017 and 2018 Penn State Grads get a FREE 2018 Chapter Membership.
  • Contact our Membership Chairman, Doug Mallas, for info, or... just come out to any general meeting or Chapter event. We'll get you started!
  • Membership in the Penn State Alumni Association does not provide membership to our chapter, or visa-versa.
  • Membership in the Penn State Alumni Association is not required to join the Chapter.
  • Chapter Meetings are open to the public (Membership is not required to attend chapter meetings)(Bring a Friend)
  • The Greater Scranton Chapter serves Lackawanna, Wyoming, and parts of Susquehanna counties.
  • Other area chapters include:

    • Hazleton Chapter: Southern Luzerne County 
    • Pocono Mountain Chapter: Monroe County

  • For former students of Penn State Worthington Scranton campus who are members of The Penn State Alumni Association, in addition to membership in our chapter, you are also eligible for membership in the Worthington Scranton Alumni Society.
  • Current Penn State students are invited the join the Penn State Alumni Association's Student Membership - The Blue and White Society.

  • The Greater Scranton Chapter encourages all members and friends to also join the Penn State Alumni Association. Over 174,000 alumni, students, and friends are members of the Alumni Association. There are three categories of membership: Alumni, Friends/Parents, and Students (Blue & White Society). Those interested can join or renew their memberships on the Alumni Association's website at
