The Greater Scranton Chapter is the largest Penn State alumni organization in Northeast Pennsylvania. We represent alumni, and friends of Penn State, from all 24 Penn State University campuses, who reside in Lackawanna and Wyoming counties. We are proud members of the Nittany Lion Club and the Blue Band's Floating LIONS Club. We support the mission of Penn State
University on at least two campuses annually. We serve the community around us, and we strive to help build the future. It is a task we do with pride.

The Greater Scranton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association announces that Jay Paterno, former quarterback, football coach, offensive coordinator at Penn State and author, will headline the 2019 “Penn State Night” dinner on Wednesday May 22, 2019.  The Scranton Chapter is thrilled to welcome Jay back as keynote speaker for the Chapter’s 41st annual dinner.   Coach Paterno returns to the area after his appearances at the Chapter’s dinners in 1995, 1998, 2002 and 2009.  Paterno will meet with our local alumni, guests and fans to talk about Penn State and the football program.
