02. Funding

We are seeking funding to re-establish the putting green. Once established the putting green should be self supporting. Any surplus will be ploughed back into additional local amenities. To re-establish the putting the area (1600 sqm) needs to be fenced, a kiosk built, and the grass brought up to standard. We have budgeted between £15,000 and £20,000 Funding applications have been made as follows.

National Lottery: Awards for all Scotland, www.lotteryfunding.org.uk,we have applied for £10,000 ... turned down on a technicality ... reasonable chance if we re-apply but late for this season 

FirstPort: Level 1 Start up Awards, http://www.firstportfunding.org.uk/, applied for £5,000 for the fence, telephone interview 7/2/13 ... we will hear week commencing Monday 15 April ... rejected see letter below

South Ayrshire: Standard Awards for New Organisations, £1000 .... we have received this reward   

South Ayrshire Waste and Environment Trust: ... Landfill tax used for community benefit ... £9,500 awarded if nil rate lease

Western Recreational Trust: The Trust exists to support recreational activities in the West of Scotland, £1000 putters, pins flags etc ... awarded before Trust meeting Tuesday 7 May.

Weir Trust: explained shortfall ... Trust meeting Tuesday 2 April, we will be informed within 14 days afterwards ... turned down.

Prestwick Common Good Fund: Application made 6 March, looked promising, no response

South Ayrshire - social enterprise funding: ... new scheme from May/June 2013

Up Date 10 July 2014, Total £38,500 ... sufficient for 2014 ... all ground works, build kiosk, and pay staff
