in the arduous climb

from Marriage Ends 

to New Beginnings

Kinfolk and friends

that reside in the tanglewood

become threatening fiends

like wasps that sting

Conventional courtesies

observed in the shallows

are  social niceties

incompatible with truth

An elephant in the wild

is free and may roam
